Blank Adapter Fills Unused Position Under Strap or Box Mount Wall Plate Opening

Fill an unused spot in any Despard or decor rocker opening with this metal blank adapter strap. This handy insets allows you to keep your current wall switchplate set while adapting to new lighting needs, plus it gives you the flexibility to create an odd or oversized cover plate. 

Features

• 4-1/16″ tall x 1-3/4″ wide blank metal panel in .030″ cold rolled steel 
• can fill Despard or Decora openings plates (3-13/16″ screw spread)
• can fill other openings on box mounted covers (3-9/32″ screw spacing) such as cable, bulkhead, etc.
• (does not work with plates with toggle, duplex, push button, etc. openings with 2.375″ screw spreads)
• .03″ steel strap; baked white enamel finish that matches our white metal covers
• insert only – light switch cover not included
• inner set of screw holes for mounting to box (3-9/32″ spacing)
• outer set of screw holes have 3-13/16″ spacing center to center for strap/block mounting

Installation

• turn off power to electrical box
• remove your switch plate
• place insert over open position and install using the included screws
• place your switchplate over insert and screw into place using your current switch plate screws
• do not over-tighten screws to avoid stripping threads
• may be stacked side by side on multiple-gang light switch covers
